St. Maarten Marine Engineering Consultants (SMEC) is the authorised Yanmar dealer and service centre on Sint Maarten, located at Wellington Road #35 Units A&B, Lagoon Marina, Cole Bay. Founded in March 2019 by Gregory Timot (factory-trained Yanmar engineer, certified on all marine pleasure craft engines) and Gordon Williams (parts and administration), the company brings a combined 35 years of diesel engine experience. They service and repair all makes and models of diesel engines — not Yanmar only — and maintain a large parts inventory with next-day delivery for anything not in stock. Between them they cover servicing, repairs, engineering refits and parts supply.
