À propos
Palapa Marina is a family-owned mega yacht marina in Simpson Bay Lagoon, established in 1990 by Richard A. Luckert — the first mega yacht marina in Sint Maarten. Now operated by the Luckert family (Directors Valeska and Kurt Luckert, Marina Manager Francesca Montero, Dockmaster James Kenworth). The marina offers 22 stern-to slips for yachts 65–250ft with a maximum draft of 17ft. Fuel at every berth (Mobil and Shell, low-sulphur diesel, black water removal). Shore power: 220V, 380V, 440V single or 3-phase, 60Hz. On-site services include Palapa Shipwrights (marine woodwork), PermaFrost (AC and electrical), and The Scuba Shop (dive equipment and excursions). Palapa also offers yacht provisioning (fine wine, champagnes, spirits) and a crew placement agency. The marina complex includes restaurants, shops, pool, gym, and bars — including the Soggy Dollar Bar.
